A story that has always been about people.
There are things that can’t be captured in numbers. Because although “25 years” sounds concrete, behind it lies something much more important: people.
Customers who have been with us from the very beginning.
Conversations that started with simple questions and turned into long-term partnerships.
And support that was always meant to be… simply human.
When we started, the internet looked completely different. There were no ready-made solutions, no automation, no chatbots. And one thing hasn’t changed to this day: there’s still a human on the other side.
On April 1st, we celebrate WEBD.pl’s 25th anniversary — and it’s a good moment to look back. Maybe not all the way to the very beginning, because we’d run out of space on the blog. 😉
2010–2012: first big steps and accelerating growth
April 2010 — a new version of the website, of course with automated payments.
September 2010 — the English version launched and we surpassed 15,000 Polish domains under management.
This was the moment when growth truly picked up speed.
But what mattered most was happening beneath the surface.
On December 22, 2010, we implemented SSD drives — a solution that was just beginning to transform the market at the time.
In April 2011, we began moving servers from the Netherlands to Poland — closer to our customers, closer to their needs. It wasn’t just a change of location. It was a decision for greater control, better performance, and faster support. A milestone.
During this period, the first features that are now standard also began to appear — such as self-service password resets for the control panel and the ongoing development of our technical infrastructure.

2013–2016: the offer grows alongside expectations
The internet was maturing, and with it, user expectations.
In 2014, we expanded our offering with additional features: a domain cart, wholesale pricing, and SMS payments. We also regularly increased hosting parameters — not once or twice, but many times, responding to real customer needs.
March 2015 brought a new logo — a symbol of change and continued growth.
May 2015 marked the introduction of SSL certificates to our offer — a response to the growing importance of online security.
And then came one of the most important moments:
September 2015 — completion of the move to Warsaw. The relocation of infrastructure to Poland was another step that allowed us to further improve service performance and customer support.
In 2016, we reached a higher technological level: a 10 Gbit/s network, global domains, and more SSD-based solutions.

2017–2020: speed, automation, and stability
Over time, not only service availability but also performance became increasingly important.
In 2018, we implemented HTTP/2, PHP 7.2, and automatic scaling of hosting parameters. It was the moment when many processes started happening “in the background” — without the need for customer involvement.
In the following years, we expanded our backend with features such as SSH, SPF, and external phpMyAdmin — providing greater flexibility and control.
The year 2020 brought LiteSpeed, Redis, and PHP 8 — technologies that had a real impact on website performance. Websites that you could also create using the site builder available in cPanel.

2021–2025: security and convenience first
Recent years have focused on further simplifying and strengthening the stability of our services — without losing what matters most. These years have also brought numerous legal changes related to electronic services, ensuring the platform remains up to date and compliant.
Moreover, in 2021, we introduced the option to independently restore backups free of charge.
This was also the time when we began storing backups in an alternative data center — to better safeguard our customers’ data. Because security isn’t just a single feature. It’s a way of thinking.
In 2022, a new version of the website was launched — more modern, but with the same approach behind the scenes. 😉
And 2025 brought further changes: free SSL, AI tools, VPS, BitNinja, and 2FA authentication.
Technology is one thing. Relationships are another.
You can talk about SSD, 10 Gbit/s, LiteSpeed, or AI. You can list successive PHP versions and new features. But over these 25 years, something has been more important.
Relationships.
A support office where there’s a human on the other side. Not a chatbot. Not an automated system. Just someone who truly wants to help. This approach hasn’t changed since the beginning.
And it won’t change going forward.
25 years have passed. What’s next?
This story is hundreds of decisions, thousands of conversations, and constant adaptation to a world that never stands still. But if there’s one thing we can say with complete certainty, it’s this:
we do things the way we would want to be treated ourselves.
Thank you for being with us 💙 and for letting us be part of your projects — from the very first websites to advanced implementations.
This is just the beginning…
