Hosting or VPS – which one to choose?

Shared hosting – when you just want things to work

Shared hosting is really like a big, comfortable apartment where you live with other tenants. Everyone has their own room locked with a password and uses shared resources (CPU, RAM, disk, transfer), but nobody has to worry about cleaning the staircase or changing a lightbulb in the hallway – because we take care of that. 😉
You get an easy-to-use, clear cPanel, so you can handle all configuration in just a few clicks – without typing magic commands in the terminal.

What’s good to know:
• resources are shared among all users (but don’t worry – everyone gets their own package, according to what they purchased 😉),
• limits apply – e.g. the number of domains, mailboxes or PHP processes (to keep things tidy: 10),
• backups are made automatically and stored with us – www files even up to 12 months, databases soon as well,
• no access to server configuration – meaning zero stress that you’ll click something and it “blows up”,
• you use our anti-spam filters and proven mail infrastructure.

An ideal choice if you want to launch a website, shop, blog, landing page or small API – and don’t have the time or desire to play server administrator.

VPS – when you need full control (and are ready to handle it💻⚙️)

VPS is a whole different league – here you get your own virtual server, with a guaranteed share of resources (CPU, RAM, disk). And you decide what’s on it. No cPanel, no imposed limits – full freedom.
In other words: you get a clean server where you can set up exactly what you need… but you have to configure it yourself. 😉

What this means in practice:
• you can choose any operating system (Debian? Ubuntu? CentOS? – absolutely),
• you install and configure the services you want – e.g. mail server, databases, Node.js, Docker, etc.,
• no imposed limits – the only restriction is your VPS parameters,
• full responsibility for updates, security and configuration is on your side,
• full server backups (snapshots) are performed and kept for 7 days.

It’s a great solution for technical users, agencies, devops, and anyone who likes having full control over their server environment.

🤔 Summary – which one to choose?

OPTION FOR WHOM BIGGEST ADVANTAGE BIGGEST DISADVANTAGE
