In May, we decided to give you a few additional options when purchasing an SSL certificate. 😊 Some of you have probably already noticed this, while others will when they want to renew an existing certificate or purchase a new one. Let's get to it:
When purchasing an SSL certificate at WEBD.pl, you have the option to choose the validation method for the certificate. What's that? Well, the company issuing the security certificate for your domain wants to ensure that it's you who is managing it. Fortunately, they don't want to send letters or make calls about it—confirmation is much easier. And since you now have the option to choose, we've decided to briefly discuss these methods.
Email validation
It has been available at WEBD.pl from the very beginning, as soon as certificates were added to the offer. If you decide to use it, you must have an active email address from your domain (yes, the one for which you are purchasing the certificate)—it must have the prefix ADMIN@. It cannot be a contact@ or office@ email—the issuer of the certificate specifically requests an admin@ email. We know it might slightly complicate things, but requirements are requirements. Of course, after placing the order, you will receive information from us regarding this matter. If you happen to place an order but don't yet have such an email—don't worry—it is sent every 24 hours.
In this email, you will find an English message either with a link—simply click it and confirm the issuance of the certificate (in the case of Rapid SSL), or with a code and a link (copy the code, go to the link in the email, paste the copied code, then confirm—this is the case with Sectigo SSL).
After completing these steps, the certificate will be issued in approximately an hour and will be available for installation in the Customer Panel (yes, we will also inform you about this via email). Simple, right?
DNS validation
This type of certificate issuance approval involves adding the appropriate record to the domain's DNS zone. And here's a little surprise—if you have one hosting account at WEBD.pl, with a domain added to it that you want to secure with a certificate, and that domain is also registered at WEBD.pl—such a certificate will be generated automatically. Usually, this takes about 30 minutes, so be patient—if you haven't received any instructions from us after placing the order, it means magic is happening.
It may happen that you have more hosting accounts with us or the domain for which you're purchasing the certificate has DNS hosted elsewhere than WEBD.pl (let's change that! 
). In that case, you'll receive an email with instructions on exactly what record to add and what value it should have. For Rapid SSL, you'll be asked to add a TXT record, for Sectigo SSL—a CNAME record. In cPanel at WEBD.pl, you add them in the same place, just selecting the appropriate record type. After that, it's smooth sailing: boom! Certificate issued. Boom! Installation. :)
Unfortunately, we can't help you add a record if you have hosting with other companies for a simple reason—we don't know their DNS zone management panel. But we believe you'll manage :) If you have any questions—you know where to find us.
